Behind every ABEM certification, exam question, and standard, there are volunteers who showed up and gave their time, expertise, and passion to the specialty they love.
This National Volunteer Week, we want to give extra thanks and acknowledgment to the more than 800 volunteers who help support ABEM’s mission. From examiners and item writers to standard-setting panels, bias and fairness reviewers, committee members, and so much more, volunteers are woven into everything ABEM does. Their work helps ensure that every physician who earns an ABEM certification has met a standard that patients and care teams can trust.
